This is pretty interesting information, I know nothing about astrology, but this Whitley Strieber states he does. Whitely predicts that the end of the world could possibly happen in the year 2012. He gives some interesting reasons why, he basically states that Earth and the solar system will be going through some big changes. He suggests the sun's atmosphere has contracted dramatically, causing more cosmic rays to come into the solar system, and at the same time Earth's magnetic field is getting weaker, he detailed, adding that cosmic rays can be associated with evolutionary changes.
He also talked about the theory that a mega-comet passed near the Earth 12k thears ago causing big cataclysmic changes and we pass through this comet's remains every 2,000 to 4,000 years, which can bring more disruption. He said that the Mayans may have issued a warning about this cycle through their calendar.
Then there's the higher rate of asteroids lately, with Earth being missed a bunch of times, Whitley Strieber wants our government to be more aware of watching these objects.
