Hint to all the women out there, don't go and see sci fi action movies. Be honest with you, I've never met a woman that ever liked a sci-fi action flick. They always complain about them.
Anyways, back to the subject at hand. I just didn't like them dogging on a movie that was awesome and got spectacular reviews. The plot was really good and the special effects were amazing. Be honest with you I've never watched a movie like this before with such stunning visual effects.
I don't want to give to much away that's why I'm not talking about the plot to much. However, I would like to say that I felt sad for the Aliens all throughout the movie. Especially when the one Alien saw the other Aliens chopped up in the genetics lab. That just horrified and made me angry. In the movie it was like you were rooting for the Aliens and wanting them to kill the humans, at least that was the feeling I got. I don't think much of our government right now, mainly due to the economic depression we're in. After seeing the movie it made me think they would actually do this in real life.
This movie really makes you wonder if this is how we would treat the Aliens in real life. I think are overall species would treat them like crap. I mean look at how we treat other human beings. White race enslaved the African race and there still fighting wars over in the middle east over religion. It makes me want to throw up! Maybe that's why any of the Aliens don't communicate with us, they exactly know how we would treat them.
The movie really set it up for a sequel at the end, so I can guarantee a District 9 2. It's a must see movie in the theater.
